In 1952, Bonnie began working as a teller at Hancock Bank and retired from there in 1984, as a vice president.  While working for Hancock Bank, she attended the LSU School of Banking in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. For many years, she was a member of the international service organization, Altrusa Club.
Bonnie is survived by her sister and brother-in-law, Euvah and Cot Stuart; and by her cherished and beloved nephews and nieces, great-nephews and nieces and great-great-nephews and nieces.
