Emily Myron Carson Rutledge

Myron was called home to glory on June 19, 2014. She was born July 29, 1935 in Saucier and was a lifelong resident of the Gulf Coast. She was affectionately known as ""Meme"" to her adolescent and not so adolescent loved ones.
She had a contagious smile and stole the heart of everyone she met. She had a passion for dancing and enjoyed traveling, gardening, and outdoors.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Gracie Carson, her husband, J.C. Rutledge, her children, Bevely Thibodeaux, and Dennis and Patty Evans. Survivors include her siblings, Murdock and Bootsie Carson, Tom and Janiece Gipson, and Raebelle Broadus, her daughter, Jeannie Evans Clouse (Jeff), 5 grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
Meme, you will be missed by all, but we are comforted to know that you are safe in the arms of our Savior! Enjoy your dance with Jesus!
Visitation will be on Wednesday, June 25, 2014, from 9 - 11 am at Poplarhead United Methodist Church. The funeral service will be at 11 am in the church sanctuary. Burial will be in Poplarhead Cemetery.
