Emile John Tiblier

Emile John Tiblier, Sr., age 87, of Ocean Springs, passed away on Thursday, June 9, 2016.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 66 years, Marjorie Grace McClellan Tiblier; his parents, Owen and Delia Tiblier; his sister, Betty Mallett; and his brother, Milton ""Bootsie"" Tiblier.
Mr. Tiblier is survived by his children, Johnny Tiblier (Peggy), Jeanie Chadick (Tim), Joy Pittsley (Kent), and Joel Tiblier (Libby); his brothers, Billy Tiblier (Doris Mae) and Jack Tiblier (Glenda); his twin sisters, Delores Lee and Doris McClellan; ten grandchildren; and twelve great grandchildren.
Emile was a graduate of D'Iberville High School and attended Mississippi State University where he received a degree in Building Trades.
Emile was an outstanding third baseman who played minor league baseball and was the first Little League baseball coach in D'Iberville.
He was a Building Trades Instructor at D'Iberville High School and Ocean Springs High School and retired after many years of service to the education community. He served as a member of the Harrison County School Board for many years.
Emile was an avid hunter and fisherman and enjoyed crafting cast nets and crab nets. After retirement, he became an avid gardener as well.
He was a wonderful Daddy who dearly loved his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
Emile was a huge New York Yankees fan who watched hundreds of games and knew all the great Yankee players from years ago until now.
He was a member of Big Ridge Baptist Church in D'Iberville where he helped build the current church sanctuary.

A visitation for family and friends will be held on Sunday, June 12, 2016, from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 13872 Lemoyne Blvd. at Washington Ave., Ocean Springs. The funeral service will be held on Monday, June 13, 2016, at 11:00 AM with a visitation from 10:00 AM until the service at the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow at D'Iberville Memorial Park.
