Elmore F. Bauer, Jr., age 76, of Diamondhead, passed away March 16, 2018.
Mr. Bauer was preceded in death by his parents, Elmore F. Bauer Sr. and Ethel Ahten Bauer; brother, Elwood E. Bauer; son, David W. Bauer.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Dorothea J. Bauer; sons, Brian Bauer (Susan Mickey) and Steven Bauer (Tammy); brother, Ellis Jacob Bauer (Linda); brother-in-law, Bill Capella; grandchildren, Savanah Bauer, Jacob Bauer, Noah Bauer, David Bauer and Kellie Bauer; great grandchild, Alannah Bauer and nieces and nephews.
Mr. Bauer was a native of New Orleans, LA and graduated from Delgado Community College. He served in the US Navy and retired after 20 years as a Chief Petty Officer. He then worked for Tulane as a maintenance supervisor in Bell Chase, LA.
Mr. Bauer was a member of the Pontchartrain HRC & AKC Retriever Club and the South MS HRC & AKC Hunter Retriever Club. He also enjoyed his Saints.
Mr. Bauer was a member of Lutheran Church of the Pines.
The family would like to thank Susan Mickey and Tammy Bauer for all they have done.
A Memorial Service will be held on Sat., April 7, 2018 at 10:30 a.m. at Lutheran Church of the Pines, 309 Hwy 90, Waveland, MS. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m.
