Elmer Scott

Elmer H. Scott, age 93, of Pass Christian, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 15, 2017.
Elmer was formerly of New Orleans, LA and graduated from Loyola University with a Bachelor's degree in Economics. He did graduate work at Northwestern University in Chicago, IL.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Elsie Varenholt and Arthur J. Scott; his daughter, Carolyn Scott; siblings, Arthur J. Scott, Jr., Robert Scott, Elsie Morales, and Donald Scott; and one niece, Kathy Pritchard.
He is survived by his wife, Terry Williamson Scott; son, Stephen H. Scott (Coco Lafaye); and his loving nieces and nephews, Arthur J. Scott, III (Liz), Judy Walsh (Mick), Roblyn Hanna (Magdi), Donald Morales, and Joseph Morales (Melissa).
Elmer was a member of Holy Family Parish. He had the distinction of being, for many years, the oldest living former Commodore of the Pass Christian Yacht Club. In his earlier years he began serving on various local civic groups, his favorite being the planning and harbor commissions under several mayors.
Visitation for family and friends will be from 10:30 - 11 AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 AM on Saturday, August 19, 2017 at Holy Family Parish, 22342 Evangeline Drive, Pass Christian, MS 39571. Interment will be at a later date.
In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial contributions be made to St. Vincent de Paul Society, Holy Family Parish.
