Our mother, Ellen Pearson Penton, age 86, passed away Sunday, June 2, 2013, in Vancleave while in the care of Gloria Broom, Bobbie Ferguson and their families. These wonderful folks provided the most compassionate and excellent care and, we are forever grateful to each of them.
Mother was preceded in death by her husband, George Penton; and her two sons, Jimmy Tyler and Dick Penton.
She is survived by her two daughters, Judie Tyler and Georgette Steel of Biloxi; her two sons, Thomas and Harry Penton of Gulfport; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Mother and daddy were retired bridge tenders for Harrison County.
A private family graveside service will be held at the Biloxi National Cemetery where mother's ashes and those of her son, Jimmy, will be interred next to George, her husband of 54 years.
