Elizabeth Schouest Vaughn

Mary Elizabeth (Liz) Schouest Vaughn, 86, a resident of Houma, LA, died at 4:13am, Friday March 8, 2024.

Liz is survived by her son, W. Randal Vaughn (Eileen) of Barnard, VT; her daughter, Kimberley A. Vaughn (David Norris) of Vancleave, MS; her two grandchildren Natalie Vaughn West (Johnny) and W. Alexander Vaughn (Daniela). She is also survived by her sister-in-law Mary Jane Schouest, three nieces, a nephew and their families.

Liz was preceded in death by her former husband, Retired Lt. William A. Vaughn, LA State Police; her parents Jefferson and Jane Schouest; an infant sister Dorothy V. Schouest; her brother Gerald J. Schouest; her paternal grandparents Dalton and Amelia Schouest; and her maternal grandparents J. Fabius and Alida Martin.

Liz excelled in her professional career in retail sales. She was a sales associate for Chez Lilli, Godchaux's, Beall Ladymon, and retired from Dillard's in 2005. Liz enjoyed crafting and decorating the homes of friends and family.

At Liz's request, there will be no services. The family is respecting her wishes.
