Elizabeth Jo "Libby" Randall, born on April 3, 1949, passed away peacefully on Friday, August 1, 2025. She leaves behind a legacy woven from her deep love for family, education, and community.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Richmond Carl (R.C.) and Ruth Randall.

Libby is survived by her siblings, Rich (Cherie) Randall, Debbie Randall, Ronnie Randall, and Pam (Andy) Gunkel; nephew and nieces, Stephanie (Nathan) Parsons, Kyle and Emma Randall, Cory (Karen) Gunkel, Katie (Terry) Eleazer, and Abbie Gunkel; and great nieces and nephews, Zoey and Eliza Parsons, Russell Eleazer, and Mila Gunkel.

A graduate of the University of Southern Mississippi, Libby earned her bachelor's degree in Elementary Education and dedicated her life to teaching. She began her career in the Gulfport School District, imparting knowledge and nurturing young minds at Pass Road Elementary and Anniston Elementary. Even after her retirement from public schools, Libby remained devoted to education, continuing to inspire and uplift students at Covenant Christian School and St. James Elementary in Gulfport. Her commitment to teaching was recognized when she was inducted into "Who's Who of American Teachers" and she proudly served as a member of the Seashore Reading Council.

Outside of her professional life, Libby cherished the moments spent with her family. Christmas held a special place in her heart, as she delighted in celebrating the season and generously giving to those she loved. In her leisure time, Libby was an avid reader and enjoyed engaging in games such as Scrabble and various card games, often shared with friends and family. Libby was actively involved in her church community, participating in the Koinonia Bible Study and the Trinity Bookworms at Trinity United Methodist Church.

The family would like to thank Saad Health Care, Carol's Home Away from Home (Carol Redmond), Dr. Wall, and the first responders who provided aid when needed. A special thank you to her loving sister, Debbie, who took care of Libby when her health declined.
