Elizabeth Barron McMickle, age 86, of Perkinston, formerly of Gulfport, passed away on May 14, 2013.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Howard W. McMickle, a daughter, Wanda Gill, and infant children, Donnie and Dale Thweatt, and a sister, June Miles.
Survivors include her daughter, Willene (Roy) Cox, a step-daughter, Rosemary (Jimmy) Duncan, 9 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
Mrs. McMickle was active in the Eastern Star serving as the first Worthy Matron and a charter member of the Harmony Chapter Order of the Eastern Star. She was also a member of the Gulf Coast Bowling Association for years and she was of the Methodist faith. She loved crocheting, puzzles, reading, bird watching, and watching TV.
Visitation will be Saturday, May 18, 2013, from 1 - 2 pm at the RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 11280 Three Rivers Road, Gulfport. The funeral service will be at 2 pm in the funeral home chapel.
Burial will be in Gulf Pines Memorial Gardens.
