Elizabeth Gain Johnsey

Elizabeth Gain Johnsey, 79, passed away September 17, 2014 in Gulfport. She was a born and raised in Pocahontas, Arkansas and was a graduate of St. Paul's High School. She worked in the banking industry for many years in St. Louis, MO, Montgomery, AL and Gulfport. She was a member of the Knights of Columbus Ladies Auxiliary where she was past president. She was also a member of the Post 58 Fire district where she served as a treasure.
She is preceded in death by her parents Cleatious and Frances Gain; sister, Sister Alphonsas Gain.
She is survived by husband of 59 years, William H. Johnsey, Jr. of Dedeaux; 2 daughters, Kathleen Calvert (George) of Boaz, AL and Janice Jones of Dedeaux; 2 sons, William H. Johnsey, III (Cindy) of Hattiesburg and John Johnsey (Kathy) of Louisville; 3 sisters, Henrietta Manuel, Bernice Bliss and Emma Tarkingten (Doug); 2 brothers, Tony Gain and William Gain (Linda); 8 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00am Tuesday, September 23, 2014 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church Dedeaux. Visitation will be held 6:30pm till 9:30pm with a rosary service at 8:00pm Monday, September, 22, 2014 at RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 9113 Kiln Delisle Rd., Pass Christian.
