Elena M. Brown

Elena Prosperie Brown passed away peacefully at Coastal Health and Rehabilitation Center on Saturday, November 25, 2023.  She was 80 years of age and the devoted mother of Michael L. Brown II and Brian G. Brown and the grandmother of Austin, Collin, Ethan, Jordan and Cameron Brown. Elena was the daughter of the late Louis and Josephine Leto Prosperie and was the sister of the late Cheryl Prosperie Honses and the late Louis Prosperie Jr. She is also survived by her sister Linda Prosperie Stilley. She was the mother-in-law of Karie B. Brown. She was a graduate of Holy Angels High School. She was born in New Orleans and later relocated to Kiln, Mississippi to be the primary caretaker of her father. We would like to thank the nurses and staff at Coastal Health and Rehabilitation Center and St. Joseph’s Hospice, especially Beverly Carlisle, for their support and devotion to Elena. You will forever be in our hearts. Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated on Wednesday, November 29, 2023, at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church, 105 Bonnabel Blvd., Metairie, LA. Visitation begins at 10:00 am and lasts until the Funeral Mass at 11:00 am. Interment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery.
