Edwin "Eddie" McCann

Edwin ""Eddie"" Joseph McCann Jr., age 63, of Gulfport, formerly of Long Beach, passed away Monday, August 8, 2016.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Emma Lou Tew; and his granddaughter, Olivia Favre.
He is survived by his wife, Paula Cox McCann; his father, Edwin Joseph McCann Sr. (Diana); his children, Tiffany Slone (Danny), Aimee Diaz, Sommer Cox, Ava Sonier (Trent), and Jeffrey Favre; his siblings, Dean McCann (Barbara), Jay Tew, Debra Nash, Karen Kellum (Burnie), Hope Kellum (David); and his grandchildren, Gracie Slone, Adison Kelly, Liberty Favre, and Kelsey Favre.
Eddie graduated from Long Beach High School, Class of 1970.
Eddie worked with the Long Beach Police Department and then the Long Beach Fire Department as Battalion Chief where he served for 35 years. He loved the outdoors, hunting, target shooting, fishing, riding his Harley and spending time with his family and grandchildren.
A visitation for family and friends will be held on Saturday, August 13, 2016 from 1:00 PM until 4:00 PM at RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 19130 Commission Road, Long Beach. Family and friends will speak at 4:00 PM following the visitation.
