Edward A. Wells, 67, passed away Saturday, December 29, 2012, after a very brief fight with cancer. He was born in Ridley Park, PA and lived in Gulfport for the past 20 years.
Ed was a wonderful husband and Hun who loved fishing and was an avid Saints fan. He served honorably in the U.S. Marine Corps and then worked in the shipbuilding industry.
He was preceded in death by his father, Edward J. Wells, and is survived by his loving wife of 26 years, Susan Wells of Gulfport; daughters, Marina Faust-Arena (Paul) of Mandeville, LA and Jill Wells; son, Sean Wells; mother, Ruth Wells; sister, Ruthann Burman (Joseph); grandson, Tyler Lavin of Philadelphia, PA; and cousin, whom Ed loved like a brother, Ernie Wells of Biloxi.
A graveside service will be held Friday, January 4, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at Biloxi National Cemetery with military honors.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Maritime & Seafood Industry Museum, 115 East 1st Street, Biloxi, MS 39530.
