Edward Michel ""Mike"" Scott, Sr, age 64, of Gulfport, passed away Friday, September 26, 2014 in Gulfport.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Shirley Scott; a brother Douglas Scott; and granddaughter Danielle Woods.
He is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Frances Scott; 3 sons, Edward ""Mike"" Scott, Jr. (Julie), Jonathan Scott (Shannon), and Richard Scott; 2 daughters, Marie Coffell (Charlie) and Teresa Scott; a brother John Scott (Linda); 2 sisters, JoDee Dean (Roger) and Andrea Fabiano (Joe); 16 grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Mike was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Gulfport, where he served as a Bishop. As a young man, he served a mission in Mexico.
He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather.
The funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 2, 2014 at 3:00 PM at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, Gulfport, with a visitation for family and friends from 1:00 PM until the service. Burial will follow at Waltman Cemetery, Biloxi.
