Edward (Eddie) Colbet, passed away on September 12, 2025 in Gulfport, MS.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Rose Fallo Colbet; their son, Kevin Colbet; his parents, Adelaide Melerine Colbet and Edward G. Colbet; sister, Dinah Johanson; and lifelong companion, Sandy Dickey Thompson.
He is survived by his two daughters and a son, Maria Colbet Travis (Jack) of Magnolia, TX, Erin Colbet Scheuermann (Stefan) of Aurora, CO, and Damian G. Colbet of Gulfport, MS; three grandsons, five granddaughters, and one great grandson; and two sisters, Paula Tisdale of Shreveport, LA and Dean Craft (Michael) of Gulfport, MS.
Mr. Colbet retired from civil service with the Air Force after twenty years and was employed at the Isle Casino for twenty years. He was also a member of Blessed Francis Xavier Seelos Catholic Church and belonged to the Cursillo Movement #254.
The funeral services were private at Riemann Funeral Home, Biloxi and interment was held at Southern Memorial Park in Biloxi. Ceremonies were presided over by Fr. Godfrey Andoh of the Cathedral of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary. Pallbearers were Cole and Miles Travis, Paxton Johanson, Ronnie and Randy Tisdale, and Mike Craft.
It was the wish of Mr. Colbet that in lieu of flowers, offerings are to be made to the St. Vincent de Paul Society of Blessed Seelos.
The family wishes to give a heartfelt thanks to the staff at Memorial Driftwood Nursing Center for all of their love, care and support.
