Edra ""Jo"" Hollingsworth Jones, age 82, of Gulfport, went home to be with the Lord and reunited with her son on December 1, 2014.
She was preceded in death by her son, Richie Jones, her parents, Mr. and Mrs. B.F. Hollingsworth, and a brother, Blue Hollingsworth.
Jo is survived by her loving husband of 61 years, Henry ""Bro. Ted"" Jones, her children, Greg (Deborah) Jones, Andy Jones, and Al Jones, two grandchildren, Josh (Crystal) Jones and Ben Jones, two great-grandchildren, Micah and Olivia Jones, and other relatives and friends.
Mrs. Jones was an active member of Bayou View Baptist Church serving as co-teacher with her husband in the Trinity Sunday School Class. She enjoyed shopping and spending time with her family, especially backyard gatherings. She was a graduate of Jones Junior College and attended Southwestern Assemblies of God University in Texas. Jo was a tender hearted caring person that had a special place in her heart for those in need.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, December 3, 2014, from 11:30 am - 1:00 pm at Bayou View Baptist Church, 4709 Chamberlain Ave., Gulfport. Interment will be in Floral Hills Memorial Gardens.
Memorials may be sent to Gideons International.
