Edna M. McQueen

Edna E. McQueen, 85, of Gulfport , died January 27, 2014 at Memorial Hospital in Gulfport.
Mrs. McQueen was born on July 16, 1928 in Pearl River County. In addition to being a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Mrs. McQueen retired from Van's Moving and Storage in Gulfport where she had worked for more than 20 years as the office manager. She enjoyed traveling the United States and Europe with her late husband of 55 years, Elwin H. McQueen.
She also is preceded in death by her parents, Purvis and Estelle Mayfield, and her sister, Tommie Mayfield Burns.
She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Sharron and Tom Wood of Gulfport, a son and daughter-in-law, Micheal and Susan McQueen of Hattiesburg, six grandchildren, Thomas Wood, Jr. of Crestview, FL., Tracy Yanez of Diamondhead, Christy Welch of Long Beach, Jennifer Boucher of Hattiesburg, Shannon Payne of Gulfport, and Jason McQueen of Canton, 11 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
Visitation will be from 1 pm - 2 pm Friday, January 31, 2014 at the RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 11280 Three Rivers Road, Gulfport, followed by the funeral service at 2 pm. Burial will be in Floral Hills Memorial Gardens in Gulfport.
