Mrs. Edith "Ernie" Braddock, 78, of Biloxi, Mississippi, departed this life on Wednesday, November 1, 2017.
Born September 8, 1939, in Eret, Mississippi. She was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Jessie Daniel Beasley. She lived her childhood in Wayne County before meeting the love of her life at Flint Creek Campground, her husband of 46 years, the late Ed Braddock.
She leaves, to cherish her memory, a daughter, Antoinette (Stanley) Morgan, Biloxi, MS; a son, Anthony (Ceily) Uram, Vancleave, MS; a sister, Sandra Jones (Buddy Forehand), Biloxi, MS; a brother, Carl Beasley, Lucedale, MS; grandchildren, Ryan (Melissa) Morgan, Joy Lynn (Jimmy) Peavey, Susie Morgan, Anthony (TJ) Uram, Katie Uram; great-grandchildren, Kirstie (Mark), Brooke (Kevin), Morgan, Destini, Jeffrey, Brody, Bryce and Brylee; and numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Ernie is preceded in death by two siblings, brother, Douglas Beasley; and a sister, Debbie Beasley.
Ernie was a long-time resident of D'Iberville, Mississippi. She was the very definition of grace and was always dressed in her classy sassy style. Ernie adored her family which always came first in her life, and she will most be remembered for her clever whit and angelic smile. She was known by her grandkids as Maw Maw Ernie, Grandma and Marney. As of late, she had a lot of firsts in her life, most recently being, her first professional baseball game to watch the Shuckers which she attended with her son. Ernie was a breast cancer survivor who loved to visit craft festivals with her daughter as often as she could, and she cherished baking birthday cakes for her E-Fitness exercise friends. She loved and thoroughly enjoyed being a long-time participate in the Southernettes Mardi Gras Ball, participating for 10 years. Her daughter lovingly referred to her as the Queen Mother of Southernettes and she proudly flaunted this as often as she could. One of her children's most treasured memories of her will always be riding the floats with each of them in the Mardi Gras and St. Patrick Day parades. Her life, to say the least, was filled with bliss and happiness. Ernie will be sorrowfully missed by everyone she came in contact with as she was loved by all.
The family will receive friends Sunday, November 5, from 4 pm-7 pm at RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, Three Rivers Road, Gulfport. The service will be held Monday, November 6, 2017, at 11 am in the funeral home chapel, and interment will be at Woolmarket Cemetery in Woolmarket, Mississippi.
