Eddie Lee Golden

Dr. Eddie Lee Golden, age 58, of Gulfport, passed away on March 25, 2013 in Gulfport.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Hazel Golden.
He is survived by his former wife, Kathy Golden, of Memphis, TN; his children, Jonathan Golden of Roswell, GA, Heather (Jason) Smith of Marion, AR, Jeremy and Matthew Golden, both of Memphis, TN; his brothers, Richard (Janet) Golden and Larry (Janice) Golden; his grandson, Owen Smith; his nieces and nephews, Chad (Karen) Golden and their daughter, Grace, Lori (Jason) Miles and their daughters, Jaycie and Lydia, Mark Golden and Jacob Golden.
Dr. Golden is a graduate of Scott County Christian Academy, attended East Central Community College and the University of Mississippi. He received his Doctorate at the Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, TN. He practiced as an Optometrist in many cities, and most recently, The Eye Clinic in Gulfport.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, March 29, 2013 at 1:00 PM at Harperville Baptist Church, Harperville, MS with a visitation for family and friends from Noon until the service. Burial will follow at Harperville Cemetery.
He was a member of First Baptist Church of Gulfport and was a devout man of faith. He was loved and appreciated by his family.
