Dorothy G. Ulrich

Dorothy G. Ulrich, age 84, of Lakeshore, Mississippi, passed away peacefully on February 13, 2026, in Lakeshore.

Dorothy, known to family and friends as “Sue”, was native of Lakeshore and Ocean Springs, Mississippi and was a graduate of Bay High School and Pearl River Community College.

Dorothy was employed by the United States Postal Service in Pass Christian, MS, and later worked at Hollywood Casino. A devoted Catholic, Dorothy’s faith was an important foundation in her life. She found joy in simple pleasures—visiting the casinos, shopping trips, sewing, and most of all, spending time with her beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald (Buddy) E. Ulrich, Sr.; her parents, Gordon Garcia, Sr. and Mildred Ryan Garcia; and her grandson, Brian LaFontaine.

Dorothy is survived by her children, Gerald E. Ulrich, Jr. (Donna), Carolyn Ulrich LaFontaine (Byron), Dana Suzanne Ulrich (Mark Heston), Scott Ulrich (Mary), and Eric Ulrich; siblings, Gordon Garcia, Jr. (Paula) and Linda Garcia Lusich; grandchildren, Morgan Helms (Logan), Joel Ulrich, Chad LaFontaine, Andrew LaFontaine, Ryan LaFontaine, Myles LaFontaine, Olivia Ulrich, Paige Crain, Bobbie Doster, Harley Doster; great-grandchildren, Anjali Lafontaine, Lucas Doster, Esme Fisher and her lifelong friend, Rose Vail.

The family extends special thanks to Enhabit Hospice, Nurse, Peyton Lee; Cheryl Bilbo and family; Lori Hoda and Rose Vail for their extraordinary care and support.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. with visitation from 9:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. on Friday, February 20th, 2026 at Riemann Family Funeral Home, 141 Highway 90, Waveland, MS. Interment will follow at 12:30 p.m. at Biloxi National Cemetery, where she will rest in perfect peace with her beloved husband Gerald.
