Dorothy Bennett Sierveld

Dorothy Bennett Sierveld, a resident of Diamondhead, MS for 32 years, died peacefully at her home on October 1, 2016, at the age of 91. She was a retired English teacher in Jefferson Parish, Louisiana. In the course of her life she enjoyed water skiing, snow skiing, bridge, golf, and most of all spending time with her family.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Leonard R. Sierveld II.
Dorothy is survived by her son, Leonard R. Sierveld III (Mary Alice); daughter, Kathleen Lorio (and the late George) of Mandeville, LA; grandson, Brandon Lorio of Mandeville, LA; and her granddaughter, Lindsay Jo Lorio of Houston, TX.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 6, 2016 from 11 AM - 12:30 PM at RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 9113 Kiln DeLisle Road, Pass Christian. Funeral services will be held at 12:30 PM immediately following the visitation. Burial services will follow at Picayune Memorial Gardens, 2618 Highway 43 S, Picayune, MS.
