Dorothy H. Maxwell, age 93 of Biloxi and formerly of Jackson MS, passed away on Saturday, October 26, 2013 in Biloxi.
She is survived by her children, Mary Anne Caldwell and her husband J.D. of Biloxi, and Frank ""Chip"" Maxwell, III and his wife Frances of Nashville, TN; her sister, Mildred Arnstein of Melbourne, FL; four grandchildren, Brad and Scott Caldwell of Biloxi, and David and Lauren Maxwell of Nashville; her niece, Lynda Craig and her husband Jack of Atlanta; and nephew, Dick McDougal and his wife Kathleen of Olive Branch, MS.
Mrs. Maxwell was a longtime resident of Jackson and a well-known travel guide in the Jackson area, having visited over 60 countries. She was the author of ""Travelling with Ms. Dorothy."" She was an avid patron of Gulf Coast casinos. She was a parishioner of Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 2, 2013 at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church, Biloxi, where friends and family may visit from 10:00 a.m. until the service. A private burial will take place at a later date.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Lynn Meadows Discovery Center, 246 Dolan Avenue, Gulfport, MS 39507.
