Dorothy Ladner

Dorothy Jean Ladner, age 76, Gulfport, passed away on December 3, 2020.

Dorothy was a lifelong resident of the Coast. She worked in the food industry all her life and was well known for her oustanding cooking. Prior to retirement, she worked as deli manager at A & P Grocery Store and later Sav-A-Center.

Dorothy found God later in life through the Gulfport Holiness Church and was devoted to serving Him. She held on to His promises through life's obstacles, including the death of her husband and this pandemic. Following the death of her husband, she learned how to be a strong and independent woman. She now rests in peace with her Savior.

She was preceded in death by her parents, James Luther and Mildred Ladner; husband, Larry Lee Ladner; a stillborn daughter; siblings, Leroy and Lavern Ladner, Beverly Singley; great granddaughter, Eden Rose Bosarge.

She is survived by her children who will remember her as loving and nurturing mother, Stephanie Cuevas (Troy), Cherryl Moseley (Marty), David Ladner (Rachel), Diane Woodcock (John); grandson, Nathan Bobinger; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; siblings, Linda Faye Cuevas, Darryl Ladner, Jerry Ladner, Milton Ladner, Larry Dale Ladner, and infant Carl Raymond Ladner.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 6, 2020, at Gulfport Holiness Church, 1541 CC Camp Road, Gulfport, from 10 am until 12 Noon. Funeral services will follow at 12 Noon. Burial will be in Gulf Pines Memorial Gardens.

The family would like to express their thanks for the loving care given at Greenbriar Rehabilitation and SAAD Hospice in Mobile.
