Dorothy Ellis

Dorothy M. Ellis, age 88, passed away on February 15, 2022 in Gulfport, MS. She was born in Waynesboro, MS and is preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Lillie Tanner and her husband Robert “Steve” Ellis Sr. She was an Air Force wife and housewife.

Survivors include her three children, Lynne (Larry) Jones of McHenry, Steve (Marla) Ellis of Gulfport, Mike (Kim) Ellis of Montana; grandchildren, Larry, Danny and Chris Jones, Jesse Ellis, Jaime Ellis Witty, Jaden and Maddie Ellis; 14 great-grandchildren; and her loving friend and caregiver Janet Anderson.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:30 AM on Tuesday, Feb. 22, 2022 with visitation starting at 8:30 at St. James Catholic Church, Gulfport. Burial will follow at 11 AM at Biloxi National Cemetery, 400 Veterans Ave. Biloxi, MS.
