Dorothy Evelyn Cooley, age 97, of Gulfport, MS, passed away on Saturday, August 8, 2026.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, Moody Cooley; her parents, India and Edwin Sumrall; and her 5 brothers and sisters.

Dorothy was a native of Meridian, MS and was a longtime resident of Gulfport, MS. She had a Bachelor of Arts degree and retired from office administration.  She loved bingo, puzzles and needlepoint. 

She will be laid to rest at Stinson Cemetery in Meridian, MS.  Riemann Family Funeral Home, Gulfport, is honored to serve the family.
