Dorothy “Dot” Marie Savarese Clifford, age 83, of Long Beach, went to her Heavenly Home on January 25, 2026.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Jimmy and Marie Savarese; her sister, Bert Mueller; and a great-grandson, Caden DiLorenzo.

Mrs. Clifford was a homemaker and the best wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was a faithful member of First Baptist Church of Long Beach and served as the Food Service Committee Chairperson for over 50 years.

She is survived by her best friend and husband of 62 ½ years, Tom Clifford; her daughter, Jill (Mark) Scafide; her son, Tom (Michelle) Clifford, Jr; 6 grandchildren, Jessica Scafide DiLorenzo, Amanda Johns, Joanne Maggard, Alexis Clifford, Savannah Scafide, A.J. Scafide, Jaecie, Kaylie, Kassie, and Jay Watts; 9 great-grandchildren; and many friends and other relatives.

We will miss her everyday, but we know we will be reunited with her one day in Heaven.

In lieu of flowers, the family prefers memorials be made to the American Cancer Society.

Visitation will be on Thursday, January 29, 2026, from 5 – 7 pm at the Riemann Family Funeral Home, 19130 Commission Rd, Long Beach. The funeral service will be at 10 am on Friday, January 30, 2026, at First Baptist Church of Long Beach where friends may visit from 9 – 10 am. Interment will be in Long Beach City Cemetery.
