Dorothy G. Bigham, age 90, passed away on April 29, 2013.
Dorothy was born in Stringer, MS on February 28, 1923. She has called the Gulf Coast her home since 1959. She graduated from Stringer High School and went to the University of Southern Mississippi, where she received her Bachelor of Education degree. She began her teaching career in 1942 and taught in the Biloxi Public School District, West End Elementary, from 1959 to 1980, when she retired. She was of the Baptist faith.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene N. Bigham, Jr.; her parents, Archie and Trudie Grantham; her brothers, Charles and Dan Grantham; and her sister, Bula Hood.
She is survived by her daughter, Sylvia Allen (Billy Ray); her step-son, Eugene N. Bigham, III (Mary Evelyn); her step-daughter, Nancy Morris; two grandchildren, Brittany Allen Dyess (Sandy), and Brock R. Allen; her step-grandchildren, Michelle Helms (Brent) and Nikki Bowering (Todd); and two step-great-grandchildren, Haley and Blake Helms.

A procession will leave RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 274 Beauvoir Rd, Biloxi at 9:40 AM for a graveside service at 10:00 AM at Southern Memorial Park, Biloxi on Saturday, May 4, 2013.
In lieu of flowers the family prefers a donation to your church or to your favorite charity.
