~~Dorothea "Dot" C. Kotsakos, age 90, of Gulfport, passed away on October 26, 2017.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Paul Kotsakos, CMSGT, U.S. Air Force, Ret; her parents, Birchem Gonzalez and Eloise Gonzalez; a sister, Wesey Burkey; two grandchildren, Nicklaus Garriga and Ashlie Lauricella.
Dot is survived by James C. Kotsakos, Sr, Valarie Stuckey, Stephanie Boynick, Paul Kotsakos, and John Kotsakos; grandchildren, James C. Kotsakos, Jr, Carl Kotsakos,David Kotsakos, Jenna Palermo, Katelynn Kotsakos, Liam Kotsakos, and Logan Kotsakos; a brother, Phillip Gonzalez; and numerous great grandchildren.
She was a loving wife and devoted mother and grandmother, full time homemaker, and a published poet who loved writing with a sense of humor.
Dot was a servant and vessel of the Lord who practiced her faith every day with the Bible as her guide. She loved Pope John Paul Mother Teresa.
Our hearts are saddened by the loss of both parents who will now be missed always.

The family wishes to thank Amy, Sheila, and the staff of Home In Care Hospice, Michelle, Nikki, and Donna for their care and compassion.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, November 1, 2017 at 11:00 AM at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church, Biloxi, with a visitation for family and friends from 9:30 AM until the Mass. Burial will follow at Biloxi National Cemetery.
