Doris R. Morgan, age 68, of Gulfport, passed away on October 24, 2020.
Doris was a lifelong resident of Saucier and Gulfport, MS. She was a devoted and loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend. She was a devoted Christian and a member of Harvest Church in Gulfport, MS. She was a good and faithful servant who placed all her trust in our Lord Jesus Christ, and she loved singing gospel music. She was also a trusted and dedicated Broker/Realtor for over 30 years on the Mississippi Gulf Coast. She ended her career as a Broker with Simply Southern Homes, LLC in Gulfport, MS. Doris loved singing karaoke with her daughters, granddaughters, and friends. She also loved to shop, travel, take cruises, and eating at Cracker Barrel. Furthermore, she had a crafty talent and made the most beautiful wreaths.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Joe D. Anderson and Dorothy “Dot” Tidmore, and her brother, Joseph Allen Anderson.
She is survived by her children, Susan K. Strahan (Robert) of Gulfport, Christie Morgan Lott (Craig Flynn) of Gulfport, and Robin Joyner (Bryan) of Long Beach; siblings, Bobby Anderson (Debbie) of Saucier, Patrick Holley II (Amy) of Susanville, CA, Pam Holley of Gulfport, David Holley (Lanette) of Escatawpa, and Lawana A. Bowler of Hamlet, NC; grandchildren, Kayla Coppock (Lindsay), Hayley Streams (Michael), Kelsey Morgan, Matthew Strahan, Madison Joyner, Hannah Morgan, David Joyner, Madison Strahan, Gage Joyner, Sarah Albert, and Gracie Strahan; great-grandchildren, Gabriella Streams, and Benson Coppock and many nieces and nephews.
She was a precious soul and will forever live on in our hearts. And she will forever be missed and loved by her daughters, family, and friends. Her legacy will live on through her family.
Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths. Proverbs 3: 5-6
Funeral services will be held on Monday, November 2, 2020, at Handsboro Baptist Church in Gulfport, MS at 11:00 am. Visitation will be held one-hour prior. Her final resting place will be at the Saucier Cemetery in Saucier, MS.
