Donnie Ray Johnson, 60 of Gulfport passed away July 7, 2018.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Alton Johnson and Jackie Nickels, stepfather, Gene Nickels, and a son, Derek Johnson.
He is survived by his 3 children, Alex Johnson(Amanda), Jacqueline Johnson and Ryan Johnson, former wife, Angie Johnson, grandson, Derek Sanders, brothers and sisters, Jimmy (Diane) Johnson, Brenda (Peter) Blake, Ed(Raquel) Nickels, Rob Nickels, stepbrothers, Mickey Nickels and David Nickels, stepsisters, Jean Currie and Joan Morris and several nieces and nephews.
Born on August 17, 1957 in Gulfport and a lifelong resident, he worked with his mother at J & G Upholstery for most of his life. He was an avid fisherman and hunter and also played on pool leagues. The family would like to give a special thank you to Angela Thrash for her support.
