Donna Elizabeth Dabbs Brown, of Gulfport, MS went home to be with the Lord on January 6, 2025 at 65 years of age. She is preceded in death by her father Charlie Dabbs and his wife Donna, her mother Carolyn Cadenhead and her husband Charles "Bobby" Cadenhead, and her loving in laws Joe and Pamela Brown. She is survived by her beloved and devoted best friend and husband of almost 38 years, Andrew Joe Brown, her daughter Courtney Johnson (Kyle), brother Danny Dabbs (Teresa) and adored grandchildren Fischer and Carolyn Johnson, along with many extended family members and close friends.
Donna attended Harrison Central High School. From there she went on to Mississippi State University where she graduated with a Bachelor's Degree.
Donna worked as a Senior Financial Advisor at Hancock Whitney bank for nearly 30 years, retiring January 2, 2026, where she helped many in our community with their financial future. She took much pride in being able to help the Senior community make the best financial decisions for their families.
Donna loved to play tennis as an active member of Bayou Bluff Tennis Club. She spent many years working on her back hand and doubles team-work. She served as President of the Board. She spent many evenings either on the court or at a table with many of the members of the club. She won their chili cook off and made many lifelong friendships alongside the courts with her Tennis Ladies.
Donna also loved to play golf, bunco, pickle ball. She also loved to cook, read, and watch Hallmark movies. Donna never let a holiday go by without fully decorating her home to celebrate. Her attention to detail when entertaining gave her the nickname "hostess with the mostest" among her friends and family. She loved the beach, her home in Orange Beach and watching the birds fly. She found beauty in each sunrise and sunset she saw. She has had 4 dogs throughout her life that she cherished dearly, Penny, Shug, Harley, and Buddy.
Donna's love for her husband, daughter, son in law and grandchildren was visible to anyone who met her. To know her was to be loved by her. Her strong faith leaves her family with comfort that they will one day be reunited in Heaven.
