Donald Raymond Williams, age 73, passed away on December 28, 2025, in Gulfport, Mississippi.
He was born on June 27, 1952, in Gulfport to Herbert Williams and Melba Krohn Williams. Donald was a graduate of Gulfport High School and proudly served in the United States Army from 1972 to 1974 during the Vietnam War era. Following his military service, he began a long career with the Department of Defense as a Civil Service payroll supervisor, where he worked from 1986 until his retirement in 2003
Donald enjoyed the outdoors and found simple pleasure in fishing, hunting, and keeping his yard just right. Above all, he cherished time spent with his family and friends. He especially loved spoiling his grandsons and never missed an opportunity to watch them play football.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Herbert and Melba Williams, and his brother, Herbert Williams, Jr.
Donald is survived by his wife of 49 years, Deborah Schmidt Williams; his daughter, Heather Williams Gouin, and her husband, Jason Gouin; his son, Jeffrey Donald Williams; his grandsons, Cooper and Callan Gouin; his siblings, Amelda Jones (Kenneth), Ronald Williams (Jean), Audrey “Cathy” Windom (Charles), Kevin Williams, and Joseph “Joe” Williams (Alana); and his sister-in-law, Jean Windom Clancy.A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, January 6, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. at Biloxi National Cemetery, 400 Veterans Ave. Biloxi, MS 39531.
