Donald Gene Taylor, age 94, of Pass Christian, passed away on Wednesday, April 8, 2026, at his home.
Donald was a United States Army veteran and earned a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from Auburn University in 1958.
Over the years, Donald worked for North American Aviation, Bell Laboratories, the Data Buoy Office, and the Navy Oceanographic Office. He traveled to 48 states, 44 foreign countries, and lived in Germany and Italy. Donald enjoyed gardening, farming, and raising cattle. He was of the Catholic faith.
Donald is preceded in death by his parents, Victor Thomas Taylor and Fannie C. Edmonds Taylor; brothers, Wiley Taylor, Jack Taylor, John David (JD) Taylor, Dennis Taylor (his twin), and his sister, Janice Cline.
Donald is survived by his wife of 61 years, Madelyn Taylor; his children, Mark D. Taylor (Donna), Jeffrey A. Taylor (Becky), and Laura J. Taylor; and his grandchildren, Abigail Aislin Taylor and Ethan Maxwell Taylor.
The family would like to thank all their friends and neighbors, as well as Harrison County Fire Rescue Station #7, for their kindness.
The family will receive friends beginning at 10:00 AM on Saturday, April 11, 2026, at Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 9062 Kiln-DeLisle Rd., Pass Christian, MS 39571. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM.
Interment will be at Biloxi National Cemetery on Monday, April 13, 2026, at 11:00 AM. The procession will leave Riemann Family Funeral Home, 274 Beauvoir Rd., Biloxi, MS 39531, at 10:35 AM.
