Donald Necaise, Sr., age 83, passed away on Thursday, August 22, 2013 at his residence.
Mr. Necaise was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps., serving from 1950 to 1953. He served in the Korean War, and was a recipient of the Purple Heart and the Gold Star. He then served in the Reserves for six years. He loved the outdoors and bird hunting.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Alphons and Estelle Necaise, and numerous brothers and sisters.
He is survived by his loving wife, Dolores Necaise; 3 sons, Donald Necaise, Jr. & wife Liz, Ronnie Necaise & wife Amy and Kenny Necaise; and his brother, Lonnie Necaise.
He loved his grandchildren more than anything. He is survived by his 4 grandchildren, Jason (Lisa), Lisa (Bobby), Haley (Chris) and Lindsay (Jason); and his 11 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 12:30 until the funeral service at 1:30 p.m., Sunday, August 25, 2013 at RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 11280 Three Rivers Road in Gulfport. Burial with military honors will follow at Wolf River Cemetery.
