Donald ""Andy"" Holbrook, age 52 and a resident of Lizana, passed away on August 12, 2013.
He was preceded in death by his mother and stepfather, Dona Lee and Oley ""TO"" McKay; his father, James Andrew Holbrook; and his nephew, David Holbrook.
Andy is survived by his wife, Diane Holbrook of Kiln; his children, Chassidy Cuevas and Cody Holbrook, both of Kiln; his sister, Cheryl Lizana of Lizana; his brothers, Avron ""Peewee"" Holbrook of Lizana, Mike Holbrook of Saucier, Bruce Holbrook of Kiln; his step-siblings, Coy McKay of Kiln, Quinn McKay of Kiln and Becky Necaise of Crane Creek; his grandchildren, Kaleigh, Kade and Kaesan; and his son-in-law, Damein Cuevas.
He was a man of honor and a carpenter. He loved his family, spending time with his grandkids, hunting and fishing. He lived his life to the fullest and was saved by his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
When I heard the news, I didn't know what to do. It happened so suddenly, it just couldn't be true. They said you'd passed on, and you weren't coming home. You'd gone on to Heaven, where your soul could roam. I cried all day, and I cried all night. I say I'm okay, but I'm not quite alright. How can I pretend that I'm not still in pain and wipe away the tears that fall like rain? I'll remember that day, the day that we met and your smiling face. I'll never forget. This is my promise, a vow I'll keep evermore. You'll be in my heart, until I reach Heaven's shores.
Friends are invited to a visitation with the family on Friday, August 16, 2013 from 6:00 to 9:00 pm at RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 9113 Kiln Delisle Road, Pass Christian. A second visitation will be held Saturday, August 17, 2013 from 12 Noon to 2:00 pm in the funeral home chapel. A prayer service will immediately follow the visitation on Saturday at 2:00 pm. Burial will take place in Standard Sandhill Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Cody Holbrook, Byron Holbrook, Chance Lizana, Denny Price, Travis Northrup, Charles Schoner and Morris Frank.
