Donald Clark Griffith, age 69, of Long Beach, passed away on Friday, July 26, 2019.
Mr. Griffith was born in Bluefield, West Virginia. Don served in the U.S. Navy on the USS Grapple during the Vietnam era. He later retired after 43 years as a civil servant for the government. He was an active member of the American Legion Post 1995 and NARFE. He was a friend of Bill W. for 39 years.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Marjorie Fowler; step-brother, Clifton Bryant, Jr.; half-brother, Joseph Griffith; step-sister, Debbi Bryant Vermillion; and his grandparents.
He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Joyce Ann Wood Griffith; children, Jason Daniel Griffith (Amanda), Jennifer Lynn Griffith Johnson (Kevin); parents, Walter Joseph Griffith and Jane Kipfinger Bryant Griffith; grandchildren, Alexis Paige Griffith, Katelynn Ashton King, Makayla Noel King, Kaleigh Nicole King, Greyson Sage Griffith, Jullian Gallawa, Shayly Johnson, and Maria Johnson; sister, Marcia Lynne Griffith Parsons (Thomas); step-sister, Mary Ellen Bryant Mason; half-sister, Margaret Griffith Harry; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 30, 2019, at RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 19130 Commission Road, Long Beach, from 9:00-11:00 am. Funeral services will follow in the chapel at 11 am.
Burial will be at Biloxi National Cemetery with U.S. Navy Burial Honors.
