Donald Keith Green age 67, of Helena, passed away on December 11, 2013, in Mobile, AL.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia ""Pat"" Green, his parents, Henry ""Red"" and Winnie I. ""Boozie"" Green, 2 sisters, Janice Green Thornton and Judy Green Burchette, and a daughter-in-law, Amanda Green.
Survivors include his children, Vance Green, Rocky (Belinda) Green, Wendell (Michelle) Green, and Vanessa Green, 2 brothers, Irvin (Jeannie) Green and Delbert (Evelyn) Green, 2 brothers-in-law, Bill Thornton and Don Burchette, his mother-in-law, Helen Jarvis and her family, 2 step-children, Becky Lundy and Tommy Cooper, 5 grandchildren, Phoenix Green, Dianna Green, Breanna Green, Elijah Green, and Caleb Green, and other relatives and friends.
Keith was a graduate of Moss Point High School and later served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War and was stationed at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba. He worked as a rigger in various construction jobs around the country. Keith was a member of the Pascagoula Elks Lodge #1120 where he served as a Tiler and Lecturing Knight, and was a member of the American Legion Post 160. Keith served as King Jolly in 2000 for the Krewe of Tri-Cities and was active in organizing their annual River Run for several years.
Visitation will be Monday, December 16, 2013, from 9:30 am - 11 am at the Helena Presbyterian Church, 10301 Saracennia Road, Moss Point. The funeral service will begin at 11 am in the church sanctuary. Burial will be in the Green Family Cemetery.
