Donald Wayne Davis, 54 passed from this life to be with his Heavenly Father at the Biloxi VA peacefully on November 25, 2014 at 7:00 am. He was born in Hampton, Virginia on January 11, 1960. Although he was never married and had no children he was surrounded by more Love in his life than he could ever need or ask for. He lived in Jacksonville, Florida as a child and joined the Army right out of High School. At 19 he was in an accident that left him paralyzed but that never stopped him from doing all of the things in life he loved the most. Donnie's laugh was contagious and he never met a stranger, he lived Life to the Fullest. He was the most amazing brother, uncle and friend to everyone who crossed his path and he always did for everyone else first and never asked for anything in return. He enjoyed sports, especially NASCAR and Football and working on old cars. He loved going to the drag strip with his brother as well as watching the races on TV. He had a love for animals that would melt your heart and had many dogs that he loved as if they were his children but the greatest loves in his life were his pitbulls Sheba and Bear.
He was preceded in death by both his maternal and fraternal grandparents and his father Kenneth Ray Davis Sr. Donnie is survived by his mother Susie Ann Haywood (Virginia) and his stepmother Barbara Faye Davis (Mississippi). His sister Diana Lynn Smith (Virginia), brother Kenneth Ray Davis Jr (Mississippi), sisters Laura Creech (Virginia), Tina Inthavone (Virginia), and Melissa Hogge (Virginia). His stepbrother Wayne Byerly (Tennessee), stepsisters Susan West (Tennessee), Dana Costello (Florida), Terri Pierman (Florida) and Dianne Byerly (Mississippi), and numerous Nieces, Nephews, Cousins and Aunts and Uncles.
His family would like thank the entire staff (Cat, Margie, Roxy, Skip, Sandra and Dr. Malozzi) at the Biloxi VA in Building 15 for showing him all the Love and Respect they did while he was there. They treated Donnie as if he was there child, brother and friend and we couldn't have asked for more. The love they showed him will never be forgotten.
