Don Earl Parks

Don E. Parks, age 83, of Long Beach, passed away on December 11, 2014.
He was preceded in death by the love of his life, his wife, Shirley Anne Parks, a granddaughter, Lauren Young, and a brother Bobby Earl Parks.
Survivors include his children, Toni Lott, Laura (Daniel) Haulsee, Donna (Bruce) Young, and Kelli (Eric) Hawkins, 5 grandchildren, and 7 great-grandchildren, his beloved cat ""Daisy"", and numerous customers and fishing buddies that were like his family.
Mr. Parks served in the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Boxer (CV-21) during the Korean War. Mr. Parks was a long time resident of the coast where he and his late wife, Shirley, were the owners/operators of the Palace Grill in downtown Gulfport for 54 years. Don enjoyed fishing and going to the casinos on Sunday.
Visitation will be on Monday, December 15, 2014, from 6 - 8 PM at the RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 19130 Commission Road, Long Beach. The funeral service will be at 2 PM Tuesday in the funeral home chapel. Burial will be in Evergreen Gardens Cemetery.
