Dolores Cole

Dolores Marie Cole, age 82, of Gulfport, passed away on February 21, 2018.
She was preceded in death by her son, Daniel S. Cole, Sr.; her daughter, Lisa Sue Cole; her former spouse, Fred B. Cole, Jr.; and her mother, Helen Waitakaitis.
Survivors include her daughter, Kathy Hughes (Glen) and her son, Patrick Cole, Sr.; 10 grandchildren, Daniel "Scotty" Cole, Kevin Boyes (Jolene), Kyle Boyes (Carolyn), Michael Cole (Becky), Crystal Baird (Shiloh), Fred Cole, III, Patrick Cole, Jr. (Iboly), Genevieve Campbell (Sean), and Lisa Vargas (Florentino), and Jacob Cole; 22 great-grandchildren; her sister-in-law, Pat Wilson; and other relatives and friends.
She was employed in the catalog department at Sears for many years and later worked as a switchboard operator at Memorial Hospital at Gulfport where she was known as the "voice of Memorial."  She enjoyed playing Bingo with her best friend, Sid Saunders. Most recently, she looked forward to her Wednesday bus rides to the grocery store with her friends.
Visitation will be on Sunday, February 25, 2018, from 1 - 2 pm at Pearlington United Methodist Church, 5212 Levee Ave., Pearlington, MS.  The funeral service will begin at 2 pm in the church. Interment will be in Pearlington Cemetery.
