Dolores Faye Lorio Chauffe, born June 13, 1938, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March, 29, 2026, in Pass Christian, MS, after living 75 years in her beloved hometown of Hahnville, Louisiana.
After graduating from Nichols State University, Dolores served as a Hahnville school librarian for her 25-year career (1972-1998) with the St. Charles Parish School System. She was dedicated to the belief that knowledge held in books influences the readers in positive ways.

She always enjoyed lunch, movies, theatre, and art museum events with friends and family. Connections to family, friends, and God were of utmost importance to her throughout her life.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Joseph F. Lorio and Marcelle Ricard Lorio; and her husband, Roland Paul Chauffe.
