Diana Gay McCann, a cherished resident of the Mississippi Gulf Coast, was born on July 7, 1942, in Indiana. She graced this world with her presence until her passing on Sunday, July 13, 2025, in Long Beach, MS. Diana lived a fulfilling life, dedicated to her family and community, and she spent many years as a valued member of the Purchasing Department at Memorial Hospital before her retirement.
Her love for reading was evident throughout her life, providing her not only with joy but also knowledge and inspiration that she generously shared with those around her. Diana's passions extended beyond books, embracing the vibrant culture and beauty of the area she called home for so long.
Diana is survived by her loving husband of 37 years, Edwin Joseph McCann, Sr.; and her children, Todd Wendell and his wife Brenda, and Lori Strock and her husband Ken.
She was preceded in death by her devoted parents, Donald Zeigler and Bertha M. Cooley Zeigler.
A graveside service will be held at Gulf Pines Memorial Gardens in Long Beach, Mississippi, on Monday, July 21, 2025, beginning at 10:00 AM. Those who knew Diana are invited to gather and celebrate her remarkable life during this time of remembrance. Her spirit will continue to resonate in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to have known her.
