Mr. Dennis Mayfield, 58, returned home to be with his Heavenly Father on Sunday, October 8, 2017 at Memorial Hospital at Gulfport.
Mr. Mayfield was an entrepreneur and owner of Mayfield & Associates, LLC in Gulfport, MS, a member and Deacon of First Baptist Church Gulfport and a U.S. Navy Veteran. His life represented the very highest values in Christ, family, business, wisdom, generosity, and integrity.
He is survived by his wife, Rebecca Rafferty Mayfield of Long Beach, MS; two sons, Steven Mayfield of New Orleans, LA and Jeffrey Ward of Gulfport, MS; daughter, Lauren Mayfield of Long Beach, MS; mother, Dorothy Mardell Mayfield of Hattiesburg, MS; brother, Danny Mayfield of Escondido, CA; sister, Barbara Wallace of Hattiesburg, MS and grandson, Peyton Mayfield.
He is preceded in death by Virgle E. Mayfield.
Pallbearers will be Mark Wigley, Mike Parmer, Mike Spruill, Pete Kozakiewicz, Mitch Deese and Dan Hull. Honorary pallbearers will be Deacons of First Baptist Church Gulfport.
Visitation will be on Thursday, October 12, 2017 from 5:00-7:00 PM and on Friday, October 13, 2017 from 9:30-10:30 AM at First Baptist Church Gulfport, 12190 MS-605, Gulfport, MS 39503. A Memorial Service will follow Friday's visitation at 10:30am in the church's sanctuary. Burial will be in Biloxi National Cemetery at 12:30 PM.
