Dennis Allen Hair

   Dennis Allen Hair, a dedicated and honorable man, passed away on May 30, 2024, at St. Joseph Hospice in Gulfport, Mississippi. He was born on November 23, 1948, in Gulfport, Mississippi. Dennis led a remarkable life filled with service and love that touched the hearts of many.
 
    After graduating from Gulfport High School in 1967, Dennis embarked on a journey of service to his country. He served in the United States Army in Vietnam as a helicopter mechanic and Crew Chief. His time in the service was a source of pride for him, and he often shared stories with fellow Veterans.
 
    Following his military service, Dennis dedicated over 30 years of his life working for UPS, where he garnered numerous Safe Driving awards. Even after retirement, he continued to serve others by working for the Transportation Security Administration at the Gulfport-Biloxi International Airport for another decade.
 
    Outside of work, Dennis found joy in various hobbies such as boating, fishing, hunting, and woodworking in his barn. He cherished moments spent with loved ones and especially adored playing with his grandchildren.
 
    Dennis was a beloved husband to Barbara Moore Hair for 51 years, who he affectionately called “Ned”; their love was evident to all who knew them. He was a devoted father to Kelly Ellison and Brian Hair who held him dear in their hearts. His four grandchildren - Taylor, Brantley, Benning, and Shelby - will forever remember him with affection.  He is also survived by his brothers, Dale Hair & wife Lynn, Don Hair & wife Karen, and Bob Hair & wife Christie.  
 
    In the embrace of heaven, Dennis reunited with his parents Tom and Leone Hair, his brother Eddie Hair, as well as his late mother-in-law Lexie Moore and siblings-in-law Aubrey “Sarge” Clements, Darryl Moore, and Pansy Grant.

   Friends are invited to join the family for visitation and services on Monday, June 3, 2024, at Riemann Family Funeral Home, 11280 Three Rivers Road, Gulfport, MS 39503.  Visitation will be held from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m., with the funeral service at 11:00 a.m.  Following services, Dennis will be laid to rest at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens in Gulfport.  

   Dennis Allen Hair will be remembered for his kindness towards others, his unwavering dedication to family and country, and the legacy of love he leaves behind. May his soul rest in eternal peace knowing he was cherished by many.
