Denise Roper, age 57, of Long Beach, passed away on Friday, May 23, 2014.
She was born in Memphis, TN to Charles Edwin and Pauline Hostetler Roper. For many years, she lived in Killeen, TX. She was a graduate of Mary Hardin Baylor and Baylor University where she received her Master's Degree. She formerly worked as a researcher for Blackland Research at Texas A&M University. For the last 25 years, she served as a professor of Biology and Anatomy and Physiology 1 and 2 at the MGCCC-Jeff Davis Campus.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
She is survived by her brother, Scott D. Roper of Long Beach, and her nephew, Cameron Roper of Long Beach.
