Delores Ann McElvenny, known to her friends and family as “Dee,” age 91 of Waveland, MS, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family on March 30, 2024.

Delores was born in Philadelphia, PA, and grew up on the East coast where she once played with the Queen of England on the White House lawn. After marrying Walter McElvenny they moved to California where she managed the family painting business and raised their five children.

Delores is survived by her daughters, Rowena Mobley, Kathy Dawson (Karen McCoy), Connie Reddick (Larry), and Joanne Hall; her son, Walter McElvenny, Jr.; her many grandkids, great grandkids and great-great grandkids. She was predeceased by her husband of 70 years Walter “Mack” McElvenny Sr.; daughter Maryann McElvenny and her beloved mother Nellie Emma Specht.
