Obituary

In Loving Memory of

Deborah Jane Wolfe

Deborah Jane Wolfe, 69, of Gulfport, Mississippi, passed away peacefully on August 9, 2026.

Born on August 17, 1956, Deborah carried with her a warmth and spirit that touched the lives of so many. Her hometown of Provincetown, Massachusetts, always held a very special place in her heart. The memories she made there and the connection she felt to her hometown remained a cherished part of who she was throughout her life.

Deborah eventually made her home in Gulfport, Mississippi, where she built a life filled with family, friendship, laughter, rock and roll, and love.

She worked for over 40 years at Hancock Whitney before retiring. Deborah was a social person who never met a stranger and had a special gift for making people feel welcome. She loved chatting with friends, sharing stories, laughing, and being the life of the party. Her vibrant personality, unforgettable laughter, and ability to bring people together will be deeply missed by everyone who knew and loved her.

Above all else, Deborah loved her family more than anything in the world. Her family was the center of her life, and she was incredibly proud of those she loved. She is survived by her mother, Jane Heckert (Mel); her son, Jeremy Wolfe (Lacy); and her beloved grandchildren, Lorelai, Jace, Landon, and Lainey Wolfe. She is also survived by her brothers, Glen Gulledge (Sharon) and Ronnie Gulledge (Charlene), as well as many lifelong friends who were incredibly special to her and whom she treasured dearly.

Deborah had a love for the little things that made life special. She enjoyed reading, collecting beautiful things, and especially loved jewelry. She had a way of finding beauty and meaning in the things she surrounded herself with. She loved good food shared with friends and, for years, lamented the loss of lunches at Vrazel’s and their beloved Eggplant La Rosa.

But it was the people in her life who meant the most to her. Those who knew Deborah will remember her for her loving heart, vibrant personality, generosity, laughter, and the way she could turn an ordinary moment into a lasting memory. Her steadfast friends will surely remember her legendary offers to “bury the bodies.”

Deborah leaves behind a lifetime of memories and a love that will continue through her family, her friends, and everyone fortunate enough to have known her.

A memorial service celebrating Deborah’s life will be held on Saturday, October 10, 2026, at Riemann Family Funeral Home, located at 11280 Three Rivers Rd, Gulfport, MS 39503. Visitation will begin at 1:00 p.m., with the memorial service beginning at 3:00 p.m.

Purple was Deborah’s favorite color, and those wishing to honor her memory are invited to wear purple to the service.

Though she is no longer with us, Debbie’s love, laughter, rock-and-roll spirit, and unforgettable personality will remain forever in the hearts of those who loved her. She will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and forever cherished.
