Deborah Lynn Rivers

Deborah Lynn Rivers, age 59, of Long Beach, Mississippi, entered eternal rest on September 19, 2025, in Gulfport, Mississippi.

Deborah was born in New Orleans and was a lifelong resident of the Mississippi Gulf Coast. She earned her bachelor’s degree in criminal justice. Deborah was very proud of her education, which reflected her strength and determination.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two grandchildren, two brothers, and three sisters.

Left to cherish her memory is her devoted husband of 20 years, James Rivers; her ex-spouse, Lee Bridges, and their children, Jeremy Bridges, Kerry Bridges, Amber Bridges, and Krystal Sidell; and her siblings, Jan Webb, George Courtney, and Kenneth Courtney. She was also blessed with many beloved grandchildren: Morgan, Evan, Kaylee, Halliyah, Gavin, Cason, Tanner, Alexander, Kerry Jr., Gabriel, and Isaiah.

Deborah’s greatest joys were found in life’s simple yet meaningful moments, crocheting, creating unique arts and crafts, and collecting keepsakes that reflected her special style. She will be remembered for her creativity, her deep love for family, and the way she always made those around her feel cherished and cared for.

Her family and friends will carry forward her memory in the laughter of her grandchildren, the warmth of her handmade crafts, and the love she so generously gave.
