David Weems

David Paul Weems, age 53, of Long Beach, passed away on September 6, 2016.
David was born in Gulfport to Lela and Ervin Weems who preceded him death. He enjoyed music, was a longtime Saints fan, enjoyed watching sports and NASCAR. His greatest love was spending time with family, especially his grandchildren. David was a 15 year employee of the South MS Regional Center and will always be remembered for his willingness to lend a helping hand. He was one of the kindest people who will be missed by his loving family and friends.
He is survived by his wife, Sharon Weems; daughter, Alicia Jenkins; stepchildren, Shanna Hartman (Chris) and Jessica Franke Mitchell (Andrew); six grandchildren, Ethan and Emma Hartman, Axel Mitchell, Ava Buckridge, Aubrey and Alivia Jenkins; brothers, Richard (Maribeth), Kenny (Robin), and Stephen; and sisters, Lela Weems, Laura Weems Holliman (Ralph), and Julienne Smith (Mark).
Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 10, 2016, at RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 19130 Commission Road, Long Beach, from 1pm-3pm. Services will follow at 3pm.
