David Sweeney

David Owen Sweeney, 43, of Biloxi MS, unexpectedly left this Earth for his Heavenly home June 22, 2020.

David was born on Hill AFB in Utah on July 26, 1976.  He graduated from Biloxi High school where he mastered the art of Welding.  His torch touched many shipyards and papermills across the county, as his life touched many hearts.  He had a good heart and a sense of humor like no other.

David is preceded in death by his daughter, Angel Sweeney; his nephew, Tyler Cooke; his great-grandparents Sartin and Earline Walker.   He is survived by his children Mitch (Sylvia) Groesbeck, Victor and Lorrainne Sweeney, his parents Victor/Robin Sweeney and Phyllis/David Dunkerson; his siblings Crystal Cooke, April Sweeney, Bryan Dunkerson and Tiffany Dunkerson; Grandparents Daniel/Shirley Sweeney and Jeanne Slater; 2 nieces and 5 nephews.

Though the hearts he has touched are already mourning, a brief visitation for friends will be held on Thursday, July 2, 2020 from 4:30 – 5:30 at Brodie Road Baptist Church. A private memorial service will be held for the family at 6pm.

Due to social distancing rules only up to 10 guests will be allowed in the sanctuary for visitation at a time.
